The south coast of the island of Losna offers sections through the upper parts of the Nordfjord-Sogn detachment zone. The trace of the fault through the southern parts of the island is a spectacular sight, especially from a boat. Here, you can see the detachment fault at the foot of the vertical cliffs, which consist of Devonian conglomerates.
